It’s A Doggie Dog World Out there…

So, I’ve gone to the dogs.

I was asked to be the artist of the month at a local pet boutique.  The month was February so I went with the Valentine’s Day theme.  It’s a Doggie Dog World in Egg Harbor Township, NJ has a ‘Yappy Hour’ each month.  What a great marketing idea.  They invite their clientele to come by with their dogs and socialize.  DDW supplied snacks, wine, water, and dog treats.

Its not easy being this adorable.

I set up lighting, a background and I supplied the props.  Of course, not all dogs are created equal.  Some are more comfortable in public than others.  Some don’t want to be laughed at by other dogs if they get caught wearing a headband with bouncy hearts on them.  Some are just plain shy…like kids.  Ms. Koi Poi needed lots of love and hugs.  She needed me to talk to her in gentle soothing tones and then she showered me in big, wet, sloppy kisses.

For every image you see there were probably 10 others where the fur was flying.  So don’t think for one sixty-eth of a second that this isn’t work.  My arsenal of dog toys include; squeaky toys, dog treats and a bouncy ball.   Without these items, I wouldn’t have a dog’s attention.

It’s all in a Dog Day afternoon!

Pitbulls have a very bad reputation.  Dogs are a product of their environment.  Given a lot of love, lots of training and lots of belly rubs, they are definitely ‘Man’s Best Friend’.  Remington was the sweetest little mush puppy (only 4 months old)
